About
our story
EU Youth Goals #3, #4 and #10 of the EU Youth Strategy 2019-2027, are the backbone of the YOUTH PHOENIX project. They reflect the European Commission political guidelines for the next 5 years, inter alia the ‘European Green Deal’, ‘A Europe fit for the digital age’ and ‘New push for European democracy’.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, immediate response is required to mitigate the enormous socio-economic impact the outbreak had, including capacity building and specific measures for recovery in the youth sector. As per EC President von der Leyen, the EU would do whatever was necessary to support the Europeans and European economy when taking measures to counter the COVID-19 economic impact.
The YOUTH PHOENIX will explore for 24 months the specific role of EU youths aged 18-29 years, under the challenging post-pandemic environment, as individuals and in communities, in leadership development processes and wider civic life participation in a perfectly geographically spread project partnership – Romania, Bulgaria, Italy, Latvia and France
