On the distinguished date of December 12th, the global stage was set for the „Online International Debate." This groundbreaking event was a beacon for impassioned discussions and active participation, a convergence of minds dedicated to shaping a brighter future.

The day commenced with fervent preparatory sessions where participants delved into the topics of debate. From sustainable development to social justice, the depth and breadth of discussions laid the groundwork for what was to come.

Transitioning seamlessly into the event’s competitive segment, vibrant ambassadors from the consortium countries took center stage. Armed with the insights garnered from earlier deliberations, these young leaders engaged in captivating presentations and interactive dialogues. Their impassioned articulation and innovative ideas exemplified a collective dedication to fostering change through dialogue and engagement.

The themes of debate were: 

• By 2050 we will have 80% green energy;

• Encouraging and supporting young people's active participation in civic activities is essential for a vibrant democracy;

• Mandatory voting ensures citizens' active involvement in democratic processes;

• Voluntary work should be compulsory in education systems in order to develop new social and professional skills before leaving school;

• The legislation about fake news should be more strict;

• Anxiety is a problem of our generation;

• The immigration laws should be more relaxed, people should travel and work more easily in other countries. 

We decided to organize it as a competition with the jury formed with more than 25 young people who voted on the teams that debated the best. 

The air buzzed with anticipation as the consortium and facilitators eagerly awaited this fusion of debate and competition. It promised not just robust discussions but also the empowerment of the next wave of leaders deeply engaged in civic matters.
