The International Motivation Training (IMT), a pivotal activity of the Youth Phoenix #project, unfolded during the weekend of November 25-26, 2023, bringing together youth ambassadors from Bulgaria, France, Italy, Latvia, and Romania. This event, designed to cultivate civic participation at the European level, promised an immersive and constructive experience for all participants.
The core of the event was an intensive 8-hour workshop, meticulously spread across two days, with 4 hours dedicated to each. The workshop aimed to explore the intricacies of civic engagement at local, national, and European levels.
The first day focused on uncovering common challenges faced by youth in each participating country. The objective extended beyond mere identification, emphasizing mutual learning. Ambassadors were exposed to diverse local and national initiatives, showcasing varied experiences and approaches to problem-solving.
As the workshop transitioned into the second day, the focus shifted towards European-level civic participation. Participants delved into diverse ways of actively contributing to the shaping of European initiatives. A crucial component of the day involved a creative brainstorming session. Collaboratively, the ambassadors generated 6 innovative ideas for initiatives, strategically grounded in the common needs and challenges identified on the first day.
The anticipation among the consortium and project trainers was palpable as they eagerly awaited the meeting with the young ambassadors. Their collective aim was to provide guidance and mentorship, not only nurturing civic participation but also instilling leadership qualities in the participants. This convergence of diverse perspectives and aspirations held the promise of fostering a generation of informed and empowered European citizens.
The Youth Phoenix #project, having orchestrated this impactful event, stands poised to catalyze meaningful change through the impassioned efforts of these now-experienced youth ambassadors.
